Breyer Barbaro horse had 2 releasesJan 29, 2009

Breyer made a model of Barbaro that was released prior to his euthanasia with the back of the box description reading "Barbaro: A New Race to Win"... Barbaro's "future is still unknown....". A 2nd release of the Barbaro model was made after Barbaro was euthanized and the back of the box reads simply "Barbaro" and the description reads "Although Barbaro will not go down in history as a Triple Crown Winner, his extraordinary spirit ignited hope and admiration in the hearts of racing fans and horse lovers. He will always be remebered as one of America's most cherished race horses." The models are exactly the same but the box changed. I have both. Beautiful.

Barbaro is the best! Great model, only downside is he only fits in racing tack! So if you are going to buy him for play use, get the race tack too.

Barbaro, 2006 Kentucky Derby winner, wasa great horse. R.I.P HE passed away after breaking his hind leg in the first 100 meters of the race. He took a bad step.
I LOVE this model. For one, his hind left leg really does have Barbaro's marking. On the back of the hoof, it has a little white spot. And his face markings are correct, a curley star with a pink nose strip. A wonderful, and heartfeld, model.
One of my favorites, I love it.

this is just like barbaro I just had to get this and put it to my collection, I miss barbaro with alot of tears but I still have his dvd, I collect breyer horses LOL! and own horses, out of my breyer horses, this one is probably one of the most expensive but yet its worth it, show the vet/ horse hospital you care by buying this model andupporting Barbaro R.I.P Barbaro I will love you and always miss you!
-like all breyers, they are easy to break, so id only allow a 9 year old with a breyer toy
