This is a wonderful toy!!! My daughter received MANY MANY toys.. being an only child and having three sets of Grandparents.. She had a lot of gifts.. but this was her favorite.. And it is worth the money.. but Santa got it for a lot less.. A LOT.. :) My husband and I have been playing with her all day! BUY IT!! You won't regret it..

Great gift for little girlsApr 28, 2008

My daughter wanted this desperately and it did not disappoint. She had tons of little peices to play with and they all keep neatly (thank heavens) in the cash register. The scanner will scan any bar code and list some number, so the kids love it. We spent hours going around finding bar codes on stuff and scanning it. I played with her for many rainy days, and when her friends come over, they can play together. Very cute.

Fun toy that will keep the kids interestedFeb 28, 2008
By Amazon Princess Kids love this! The microphone is their favorite. The register has lots of debit cards, product cards and money. Of course, these pieces have ended up all over the house. The cash register is one of the better pretend toys the kids have.

Make sure to get the correct model!Jan 23, 2009
By Lynn Dale Received as gift for 4 yr old. The card reader didn't work, nor the touch
keys on the left after selecting the "department". Exchanged at national toy store and realized that they replaced it with a different model. There was no scanner/scale on the left, the touch keys on the left didn't work at all, and no light on the hand scanner, the worst was the drawer that wouldn't shut when the coins were placed inside. So once again, returned it and found the original register that she received, no problems now-and everthing fit within. It really is a great toy. The larger cards help with pictures until she can read. I can't imagine the register without the touchpad function on the left side. It also has a touch key for gift card, and a play key for the on/off. I'm surprised the other models are selling for the same price. I would have returned it if not having found their last model like the one received.

One of the better cash register's I've seenJan 12, 2009

This is the third cash register toy we've had and I like it the best. The different shopping cards and the credit, discount and gift cards to scan are a really neat feature. It's still a little difficult for my 4-yr-old to use because you have to be very number aware to get the full use of the toy, but that makes it interesting for even my 9-yr-old. The microphone is really fun, too. I like the fact that it's a relatively quiet talking toy; one cash register we have has a really high-pitched loud beep that quickly gets annoying. The two things I don't like are the hand scanner - while it's fun, it's too random. When you "scan" something, the cash register comes up with pretty outrageous prices like $129 for an apple. Also, the change does not fit in the change slots in the cash drawer. The coins stand up too tall for the drawer to be able to close, so we have to keep the change in one of the big cash tray slots. Overall, though, this is the best cash-register toy I've seen and I think we'll get a lot of use about it.
