Great - powerful, solid, quick.May 03, 2006

"Sir Ilya T"
Just received it and put to good use. It made really quick work of inflating the tires in my bikes - mountain bike to 40 psi and speed bike to 80 psi - a few strokes and I was done. Far easier than the little portable pump I had.
The construction feels nice and solid. The valve has both Presta and standard valves.
The pressure gauge is at the top of the pump, so it's easy to see while pumping.
I should note that the pressure gauge starts at 30 psi, so you wont' be able to measure anything below that, though of course you would still be able to inflate things to below 30. Not a problem though, as bikes use a minimum of 40 psi.
The hose clips onto the pump cylinder for easy storage.
I'm looking forward to years of use.

Excellent for the price.Mar 29, 2006
By D. Garrison If your looking for an inexpensive pump that will do the job and do it well this is it. It has a dual head pump that fits both schrader & presta valves without attachments. It has an easy to read gauge with a marker making it easier to reach the desired level.

Does the job quickly!Jun 24, 2006

The Bell Airstrike is a floor pump with a 21" barrel that really puts out air. It has reasonably sized extensions at the bottom to set your foot on and a comfortable hand grip. The pump action is smooth. It took me about 15 pumps to inflate a mountain bike tire from 40 to 70 pounds, which seems reasonable to me. The top mounted air gauge is fairly easy to read and has a moveable marker to show your target inflation level. Construction seems solid. I use it on "regular" (bike or auto tire) style valves. The product guide that comes with the pump does indicate that it will inflate Presta type gauges, but as you can see other reviewers have had trouble with this.
Four stars for solid construction and ease of use. Small markdowns for somewhat hard to read gauge and plastic construction of foot rest.

Be careful if you have Presta valvesJun 21, 2006
By Zachary Chadwick I should have read the reviews a little more closely. My tires have Presta valves on them and even though this pump says it works on them, it doesn't. Trying to force it down started to bend the valve as well.
Solid pump for Schraeder valves, but look elsewhere if you have Presta.

Solid pump - barely works with prestaOct 11, 2006
By Bo Borgerson I really had to fiddle with it to make a solid connection on my presta-valve tires.
Sure beats a hand-pump above 100 psi, though :)
