Very pleasedApr 04, 2007
By Stumpjumper I've been riding with a FlatBlocker Max in my back wheel of my mountain bike for about 4 months now. It has really performed well. I've got a standard Slime filled tube in front, and both wheels have Slime Tube Protectors. Every time I need to add air to the front I check the back and it is fine. My riding is almost exclusively off-road in the New Mexico desert around Albuquerque with lots of Cholla, Prickly Pear and the dreaded goatheads.
The only downside I can see is that some folks might think the tube is heavy. Personally, I ride for exercise so I don't care about carrying around the extra weight or any effects it may have on acceleration.
Follow up: Well, its been another 4 months now and I still have the same tube in my back wheel. I have to add a little air now and then but in general it is worry free. I recently replaced my old front Slime-filled standard tube with a FlatBlocker Max after an unusually prickly ride was too much for it, it just wouldn't seal anymore. The rear FlatBlocker tube handled the ride without incident.

This tube is preforming well. I have since had the unfortunate pleasure of riding thru a trail with massive amouts of glass, However the tubes dint even get scratch, I Love them.
