4Worth the priceMay 21, 2006
By Geoffrey F. Beneze "geoffbeneze"
I purchased this unit after the initial testing of several other tools.

Like the Bell Quick-Tool, this one is a winner, albeit not quite at the same level of the Quick-Tool. This unit has more closed end wrenches, but that's about the only real difference. It's a bit larger and more unwieldly than the QT. I've used it on the bench for a couple of weeks to good effect. As mentioned in my other reviews, a multi-tool is not a substitute for "dedicated" tools, but these are functional and will get the job done in the field (and at the bench.)

While I prefer the Quick-Tool (Bell) over this Ultra-Tool, I wouldn't (don't) hesitate to grab either one for bench or field.

4Good small toolMay 22, 2007

I like this tool except for one thing. There is no chain tool included. Having broke a chain last week and no tool to fix it I wasn't too happy. Luckily there was a guy right behind me who had one. It was the exact same thing as this tool but with a chain tool also. Something to think about.

The tire removal tool broke the first time I used it. The rest of the tools are metal but the tire tool is plastic

4Nearly perfectDec 10, 2007

There are better tool kits, but if you want want that does nearly everything, and is light and easy to pack, then this is the one to get. I researched all the bike tool kits and found the only other tools I might want were a spoke wrench, and a chain link tool--things I've never needed on the road. What I wanted was the ability to patch a tire, change a tube, make adjustments, and tighten up loose fittings. This tool kit does a good job.

On the negative side, I wonder how long the plastic tire removing tools will last. I figure I can swap in something to replace them if and when they fail.

3"OK"Jul 27, 2008
By R. Benton "Bike Man"
This multi tool is Ok, and does have some handy tools on it like the one socket that fits the brake adjustments. The wrenches though are horrible. They are all just a hair to small to fit the actually size they say. I can not take off my wheel with this tool as the biggest one is to small to fit over the standard wheel nut. You can't put any pressure on the wrenches or the metal clip holding them back will not hold and they will just fold. I also found that some of the hex wrenches were either to big or to small to fit some things on my bike. Tire levers are plastic and this thing is kindof bulky. Overall, its a nice package of tools if only the wrenches worked and I could take my tire off.
