Breyer Play Mat Has Many ApplicationsOct 30, 2009
By Grandma Sandy
"Sandy"
I purchased the play mat for my grandson's birthday because it had a pond and trees imprinted on it. I didn't really want anything else imprinted on the mat and by the photo, it looked like there was not. Everything else in the photo looked three dimensional. I intended the mat for items I had given him the previous Christmas: covered wagon, teepee, pioneer family and native american figures. I was disappointed to see buildings and horses actually imprinted onto the play mat which ruined the idea I had in mind. The photo looks like they are separate but they're not. This should be explained to future buyers -- that the mat has definite imprints of horse stables. Anyway, someone else gave my grandson Lincoln Logs for his birthday so we had lots of fun using them with this mat. I got a free horse with the mat so we built lots of corrals, barns, stables, etc. and it turned out okay after all!
