These are collectibles, not toys! They are figurines. They are not intended to hold up to enthusiastic play. If you want something your kids can really use, get them Schleichs (which are softer, more forgiving plastic) and save the Breyers for when they are older, if they are interested in collecting.
I've been a Breyer hobbyist for almost 30 years and there is a lot to enjoy about them, but they are not meant to be playthings (and I wish Amazon wouldn't market them as such).

I bought this for my cousin for our family's holiday gift exchange. It was a perfect find as she loves this TV show and she now has all four of the main horses instead of just one big one. She was thrilled. Shipped fast. Worth every penny.

These are really too small. They are very nice to look at, but after one nailed me in the arch of my foot, I put a ban on them in the living room. As a result, my daughter doesn't play w/them too much!

"green jeep"
I searched far and wide for these little horses because my niece loves them, and they are hard to find in retail outlets. At first I thought they were expensive, but they are very durable (survived a puppy!) . I particularly love this "stablemates" line of breyers. Worth the money, very pretty, and a must have for any little girl or boy who loves horses. a great addition to a farm or horse trailer.
