 Eloise Many Years Later!Dec 30, 2007

I purchashed this Eloise doll for my grandaughter for Christmas (along with the first Eloise book which takes place at the Plaza Hotel). When the doll arrived I was delighted and wish that I had ordered one for myself. She brought back so many happy memories and I even unearthed my original Eloise book from many, many years ago! What a joy!

She is very cute, looks as you would think Eloise would. I haven't unwrapped her as she is a Christmas gift for a 2-1/2 year old who laughs at her antics in the Eliose books. I believe she will be thrilled with this doll.

I read the book Eloise by Kay Thompson growing up in the 50s and 60s and it was soon my favorite of all time. Now I will be reading it to my granddaughter and have bought her a Eloise cloth doll which is very realistic looking and will be fun to hold while she listens to the story. Thanks Amazon for offering this awesome doll for the best price online.

I ordered the doll as pictured for my granddaughter. I have rated the doll I thought I had ordered. However, "Eloise in Hollywood" is not the doll that is pictured. "Eloise in Hollywood" wears a long black outfit and has little resemblance to the original doll. This one is being returned. I hope whoever is responsible for making sure the picture and the actual product are the same updates this page asap. Editing some of the descriptive material is also needed. Don't order this product if you do not want Eloise dressed in a long, satan gown. My older granddaughter loved her Eloise doll, and I hope to order an Eloise with the white blouse, black skirt and bow in her hair.

Great gift for 4 year old. Even though she was not yet familiar with the story of Eloise she loved the doll from the first second. Now she is interested in the books and that is why I gave it 5 stars as an educational toy.
