Awesome design, but not good materialsNov 04, 2011
I'm 10 years old, and I ride horses. I've been riding for about 6 years, so I know a lot about english riding. The saddle, bridle and martingale are very realistic. They've got it down to the finest detail! I think the stirrup's can be annoying, they don't have a buckle, like real ones to keep them on the saddle. They keep falling off! The product material is stretchy. it's starting to break, and the seams are coming undone, but I can use other things to keep the saddle on. I like this tack set, and reccomend it to others. It has a really good price. If you wanted to get one of the nicer breyer traditional series saddles and bridles, to make a set, it would cost aroung 40$. That is as much as the horse! I can use it on the Paradise horses, and the Breyer Traditional horses. I hope you find this review helpful.
Quality accessory for Paradise HorsesMay 05, 2012
By J. D. Davis I bought this for my 7 year old daughter for her Paradise horse. She loves that fact that it was so much like a real English bridle and saddle set. She quickly learned to put it on her horse and remove it by herself. She's able to sit Eva (by Paradise Horse) in the saddle and place the reins in the toy's hands without too much difficulty. The fit of the rider is loose and takes some practice to get right, but looks good.
I was surprised that this set has held up so well under my daughter's "tender" care, as she's pretty rough on toys. The set is a good deal more robust that it looks at first. It seems to hold up well under normal play and does not require any special care.
The fit of the saddle on the horse is good, but the bridle is rather loose. It still looks good if you keep in mind that it's a pretty well made toy and not a precision model. The bit fits the horse's mouth a little strangely, but works well. I deducted one star because I expected a better fit of the bridle and bit. However, my daughter gives it 5 stars, and still plays with it often.
Way better than breyer!!Feb 26, 2012
This set is great, but with a few flaws! I bought this for my breyers because it was $10 cheaper and is way better. These stirrups are adjustable when breyers are not....very fine details too. I set the bridle aside and didn't use it because I make my own tack, not saddles though. I love the martingale feature too because sometimes they forget those details. The only things I don't like are: The stirrups don't stay in their feet, they slip and get longer. The girth has strechted so much it is about to snap. The seat is not very realistic. Actual leather (wich is a good thing, breyer's are thick felt stuff). It fits my traditional breyers perfect along with the paradise riders which aarre very good too! Hope this was helpful!!

NOT SO GOODJan 05, 2011
By Ginny's place I thought I was getting a good deal, but like they say, "you get what you pay for!" If I was showing my Breyer horses in competition,(they do have Breyer horse shows)this English riding set is horrid. OK for kids to play with, but I don't know how long they will stand up. They were worth no way near what I paid for them and now there even cheeper!
