better for an older childJun 09, 2007
By Rebecca Bourque My mother bought this tricycle for my daughter's 2nd birthday, and we were so excited putting it together because she's crazy about Dora. Two of the stickers ripped in half when I tried to peel them off the paper, even though I was careful, so I wasn't too happy about that. The buttons are also very loud, which is probably okay if you're outside, but I would like to have a switch to turn the volume down for indoor use.
Everything else aside, however, my biggest problem came when my daughter tried to ride her new bike. She is 35 inches tall (75th percentile), yet only one foot reached a pedal...it will be several more months before she can even begin to use this tricycle. The seat was on the closest setting, too. We'll be returning this product if possible and getting a bike designed for 18 months to 3 years.

ASSEMBLY IS SIMPLE and product is GREATSep 09, 2006

I did not buy this item on amazon, but came to the site for a review. I was almost discouraged and almost did not purchase the item because of the first reviewer's comments on the assembly difficulty and the suggestion that power tools are needed. I am glad I did not listen. The assembly was fairly simple and only a phillips head screw driver and hammer are required. The bike is great and was worth the hour it took to put together. I think the first reviewer may not have lined up the holes properly on the handlebars and thought he/she needed to drill his/her own hole. Or maybe the product was defective. Who knows? All I can tell you is that my experience was different and the toy is great. My [...] niece LOVES it.

NiceMay 30, 2006
By Sarah's Mommy I bought this trike from Toys R Us this past weekend for my just turned 4 year old daughter.
Assembly was easy and the sounds it offers on the dashboard area were very cute and loud enough to hear as your little one pedals about.
Only draw back is that the adjustable seat is awfully close to the frame. My daughter kept hitting her knees on the handlebars. And when I adjust thye seat to a lower position, she has a hard time pedaling, and she is pretty tall. Another drawback is that the wheels are make of plastic, and when she begins to pedal, the wheel "slips" on the cemenet and doesnt get well traction and which can be a bit upseting for kids.
So I actually returned the trike and got one with ribber wheels. Now my faughter is very pleased with the new exchange!!

Kids enjoy itDec 27, 2007
By D Owens Purchased for Christmas on sale online for more than 50% off one week before Christmas for 2 yr old even though I knew my daughter would be too small to reach the pedals, but she loves Dora. It was very easy to assemble and my husband was able to put together in less than 30 min and he's not one who enjoys assembling things, but there were no complaints about this one. The stickers are not that durable, but they are stickers so I wasn't disappointed or surprised as I had read previous reviews. She enjoys the sounds and music from the buttons and likes to scoot around on it. She will also stretch to reach one pedal and move a little then stretch to reach the other pedal to move a little more :-). Her 5 yr old brother also pushes her around on it. Overall I would recommend product to anyone.

Great toy for a beginner, hope it grows with her!Dec 30, 2007
By Swiss My 3 1/2 year old got this for Christmas. She can reach pedals on the seats closest setting and she is on the small size for her age. She enjoys all the sounds it makes! We try to make this an only outside toy, so the sounds are not too bad. She LOVES the basket, always taking something in it when we go for a ride. She is just learning, but we hope since the seat is adjustable it will grow with her. Update - She is now 4 yrs old and still LOVES it. The seat is still on the closest setting. Took her awhile to get the coordination of pedaling and steering at the same time, but she loves riding while I walk!
