Poor designNov 25, 2006
By Jennifer F. Day We received the Dora Fairy Wishes doll from my daughter's grandmother. My daugther is only two years old and the doll is recommended for three and over. She enjoyed combing her hair and listening to her speak and blink her eyes. That is the most I can say for the doll. Unfortunatly for any age user, the doll does not really stand or sit. In the standing position she is so unstable because of her large head that she tips over at the slightest touch. Her legs twist, but not so that she is in a sitting position, more of a split, and falls right over. This leaves only the laying down position for her to be played with. The tiara does not stay on her head at all and falls right off. Her hair seemed to get knotted up quickly so that when you comb it, her hair comes out. We decided to keep the doll only because my daughter enjoys putting her 'to bed' and pretend combing her hair and hugging her (plus it was a gift from grandma), but as far as any other interactive enjoyment, it is lacking. Overall a very poor design.

Decent dollNov 28, 2006

I bought this doll for my 2 yr old. As stated previously, she does not sit or stand. You just have to lay her down.
Her face is pretty, I don't think she's scary looking at all.
Her hair gets messed up easily, so I put it in a pony tail.
The dora "dress up outfits" DO FIT THE DOLL! That was an added bonus for us.
Dora also comes with painted on underwear and an undershirt, which I like. I think it's supposed to be a bathing suit, although the doll cannot get wet.

Heavy, Noisy not worth the $Nov 17, 2006
By V. Nelson This doll is very heavy. The body might hurt a small child if it were to fall onto their foot or something like that. The motions of the eyes and face are rather loud and almost overpower her voice. My daughter liked this doll, but I just don't feel it is very practical or a lasting value.

Big hit!Jan 09, 2007

This doll was a big hit with my 3 year old grandaughter. She got it in October for her birthday, and when I visited in December, It still was in good shape and just as popular. I should add that this doll is in a lively houshold, including a four year old brother who will bash and bang things at random. Fairy Dora 's survival here speaks volumes!

The doll is alive!Nov 21, 2006
By Stella's Momma My daughter received this doll as a gift from her aunt. Her aunt knowing how fond her neice was of Dora said to save the best gift for last. When my daughter opened up the box she almost immediately said "I scared". It is kind of sad because we video taped the event thinking we would send it to her aunt. The doll looks kind of creepy and the mouth moves in a way that accentuates some scary facial expressions. Ie the talking clown in a horror movie.. Suffice it to say we passed by an end cap at a store the other day featuring this doll and once again she nearly freaked. The doll is made well, but my 3yr. old is still reeling from the first impression from 6+ mos. ago.
