And I almost didn't buy it....Jan 18, 2008
By C. Crenshaw Toys R Us had this doll on the shelf while I was shopping for my 5 years old granddaughter. I thought the doll was ugly as all heck and passed it by...Until I found out a little later on that this was the doll my granddaughter REALLY wanted. Needless to say, I went back to Toys R Us and I'll be damned - they were sold out!
I ordered the doll from Amizon (this site) and it arrived in perfect condition within the time period I had specified (two days.
My granddaughter was so HAPPY upon receiving this doll - and turned out to be quite the 'little mommy'. She loves taking care of 'her baby'. The doll talks and blows kisses and on and on.
Other than the diaper runs (my granddaughter goes through tons of diapers)the only thing that must be done, is to clean out the dolls mouth after feedings (of course).
And back to the diaper deal, I opted to simply purchase the cheapest pack of newborn diapers on the market - to those of us on a budget, this is the least expensive way than having to purchase the ones specifically made for the doll.
My granddaughter is still enjoying 'her baby' many days, & weeks after receiving her.
Would I recommend this doll for a young little lady? You bet!!

The doll is cute, and very realistic...but, for the money, I think there is a better deal with the Amazing McKayla. It has better features, and costs less. The Baby Alive Caucasian is a little too creepy for my child, and she actually cried when I first turned it on. Now she doesn't even play with it-although, she doesn't freak out when it talks to her.

the doll was a hit with my niece for about 3 days..And off to the toy box it went...Not the type of toy that keeps kids playing with it for long..Wouldn't buy for my daughter
GREAT giftSep 29, 2008
By S. Wan I bought this doll for my 8 yr old niece. I didn't care for how the doll looked, but she loved it. It was big enough for a big 8 yr old girl. She played with it all day and night. The cost of diapers is now an issue, so feed her sparingly. It was a great gift!!!

If you want peace in your home, do not buy this little beast. She's weird, scary, and my daughter says she just keeps saying she's hungry. Why would you WANT to change a baby diaper. Nasty Toy.
