PleasedApr 07, 2008
By Bean's Mama We bought my son the LeapFrog ClickStart My First Computer for Christmas. He liked the games that came with it, but we thought we would get him a few more. Some (the Toy Story game) were a bit disappointing because they only had one game (with various players and settings); however, the Animal Art Studio has many games and they are all different. My son loves to paint, create and play while he is unknowingly developing his creativity, hand-eye coordination and memory. I would definitely recommend this game!

My son's favorite click start game!Sep 28, 2008
By Hayley Clayton My 4yr old son got this with three other games for his new click start and this one was by far his favorite. He loves animals, he loves painting and now he is learning to mix primary colors to create green, orange and purple. Great game!

This product has benefits and drawbacks in just about every area. It is very easy for a 3 year old to operate and navigate through the programs. Mine had no trouble at all and has had very limited use of any computers in my home. The puzzle feature is dull and my child lost interest in it very quickly. You need to click on the squares until you hear the chime that indicates a puzzle match. This is all well and good and very easy to do, except you have to keep clicking and clicking the square as many as 10 times before you get a match. I counted at least 114 clicks with the mouse to paint the pictures that have only 20 squares to match.I saw no difference between level one and level two; the games, pictures, activities and features were exactly the same. This program is not like a computer program that may have oodles of games and other things to do. It simply has only 4 pictures on the shimmering ocean (puzzle), and one or two other games to play in the other 3 catagories. My son likes it because it is his "own" computer and he has fun using it himself without any help. He doesn't get frustrated if he makes a mistake, but does get bored with the shimmering puzzle. It does help him with understanding the keyboard and using a mouse. I see him out growing it real fast once he has mastered those skills.

Great Game for LeapFrog ClickstartJan 30, 2010

I purchased the Leapfrog Clickstart and 5 of the games/software that works with this system at Christmas for my 3 year old. Not only am I completely satisfied with the Leapfrog ClickStart but the games offer both fun and challenges that keep my 3 happy and occupied.
The game she likes the most is the Animal Art Studio. It allows her to creatively mix and match animals..put an elephant head on a lion body, easily add trees and water, grass and then the screen animates and her made up animals move across the grass, drink from the pools and frolic around as she giggles with delight. It also has a color program and a host of activities that with music and sound that keep her coming back again and again.
This is a wonderful game and I highly recommend it for any 3 to 5 year old and definite must have for the Clickstart.

One of the best clickstart games availableMar 24, 2010

Of all the click start games you can buy to add on to the built in games this is the best. Both educational and endlessly entertaining. My son is learning about mixing colors and computer graphic design at the advanced age of 2. Many of the other click start games will quickly become boring or aren't designed well. My son comes back to Animal Art Studio, the built in game, and Diego over and over, in that order. One of the best things about Animal Art Studio is that he can manipulate many of the games already, but there's plenty to learn about color mixing as he gets older. We started using the game about 6 months ago, and he still plays it frequently. Hope you enjoy the game!
