A little misleading with the name "Jumper"Aug 25, 2007

My daughter loves horses and has the walking Tawny horse, so naturally, she wanted the JUMPING Tawny when she saw it. Since the walking Tawny was so impressive (walking by itself), we just assumed the jumping Tawny would be even better. However, it's really disappointing and a little misleading with the title, because this horse does NOT jump by itself. You have to hold the back legs which causes the front legs to "jump", and then you have to manually lift the horse up over the jump. My daughter doesn't mind since this is another horse and part of the Barbie collection, but my husband and I were slightly annoyed that the toy isn't as impressive as you would think from the title JUMPER Tawny. It should be called "Hold My Legs Tawny."

A big hit!Aug 13, 2007
By T. Galardi We got this toy for my daughter's 8th birthday. She takes horseback riding lessons and my older daughter jumps as well, so this present was by far the favorite. My girls already love to play horse jumping games and this horse is perfect for that. The jump itself is a bit of a hassle because you can move the poles around and they fall off easily, but other than that this toy has been a huge hit around our house.

Great addition to horse collectionJan 28, 2008

My 6 year old pony-collecting daughter loves this horse and "jumps" her around the house with and without the barbie rider. The jump, stand and other accessories are cheap but the pony seems very durable. I read a negative review because it didn't jump on its own like the similar Tawny walking pony - but come on now, what do you expect? I love that it doesn't require on/off switch or frequent battery replacement, yet it is complex enough to teach a realistic jumping technique. Especially great if your horse-fan prefers hands-on play. Price varies a lot - Amazon had the best!

Daughters love it!Jan 18, 2008
By Joy Riaz Both my daughters loved this one. Should have bought 2 for the price. I didn't know that the horse made real horse sounds. Very nice.

My daughter loved it!Jan 07, 2008
By Mario Covarrubias Jr. I was not very impressed by this toy. I bought the walking horse for my other daughter and worried that they would both want that one.
This horse "jumps" when you pull the legs back, so the horse is never really on the ground. You have to just imagine the horse jumping in the air. The doll has a hard time staying on, also and her boots fall off too easily.
That being said, my daughter loved this toy. She enjoyed making the horse look like it was jumping and she thought the one that walked by itself was boring because you didn't have to do anything. She also loved the ribbons and trophy the horse came with.
I gave this toy four stars based on my child's reaction and enjoyment of this product.
