Wonderful ToyAug 31, 2010
I purchased this castle for my daughter's 4th birthday. Today she is 5 and this is the only toy she remembers getting last year. She has played with this beautiful castle nearly every day since then and it still looks brand new. One of her favorie movies is Quest for Camelot, so I purchased Papo and Schleich figurines to resemble the characters in the story. I also purchased a dragon, a few bad guys and some lovely glittery princesses. I converted my older son's unused train table into the castle platform and she keeps her accessories in the side drawers. It is so fun to watch her play with this castle and I am very pleased with this purchase.

I was so happy to see how beautiful this wooden castle is! The castle is very sturdy, yet light for my daughter to carry around, it does not have a latch to close the castle, but it is a great buy for your lil princess!! I love it and wish they made this when I was little. My daughter plays with it all the time!

I bought this toy for my four year old daughter's birthday because the reviews were so good. Although it's cute, and there's nothing wrong with it, it's rarely ever played with. We bought the coordinating furniture set and royal family...but, they sit too. As it turns out, my daughter seems to prefer the Little People Barn we got for her two year old brother. Maybe it's just not a good fit for my daughter, but I'm pretty disappointed that we spent so much on a toy that just sits there looking pretty.

we bought this castle for our 5 year old daughter. She loves it very much!
The castle's quality is excellent, it fits the Disney Princesses (the Polly Pocket type) perfectly. This is great toy for little girls who love the little Disney Princesses.

I gave this beautiful castle to my granddaughter on her 3rd birthday, with the accompanying furniture, family, and horses. She had been opening gifts and hurrying on to the next one, but after opeing the castle, she just wanted to stop and play with it.
If your child uses a lot of imagination in their play, he/she will enjoy the many different ways to express themselves with this toy, and if they are not into imaginative play yet, this castle can certainly encourage many opportunities.
The construction was better than expected, but as a rule, I am not disappointed by Melissa and Doug products.
