So cute, I ordered another one.Jan 09, 2007

This penguin was well made (I noticed). My granddaughter was over the moon over it. While it looked pretty realistic from the pictures I've seen, it was still very cute and cuddley. I thought it was an amazing bargin for the size and quality. I ordered a second one for Toys for Tots. I know it made another child very happy on Christmas.

Great!Mar 17, 2007
By C. Johnson My younger daughter (age 15) bought a penguin at the Baltimore Aquarium last year. When her older sister (age 23) saw it, she wanted one, because she's always been a penguin lover. We looked and looked locally at Christmas and for her birthday in Feb and then easily found one that sounded good (this one) on Amazon. When it arrived, it was IDENTICAL to the one that we bought for $10 more in Baltimore, so even with shipping it still cost $5 less. It's a wonderful product, too...larger and more lifelike than the usual plush penguins you see in stores.

Plush Penquin...Jan 16, 2007
By Nadene Perry This beautiful penquin from Melissa and Doug was a complete success with my grandaughter at Christmas. I was not one bit disappointed as it is made of fine quality material and should last for years to come. Thank you.

El Capitan me ama!Dec 14, 2008

El capitan (my penguin) is the best surrogate for my girlfriend while we are apart. He snuggles me, but in a very platonic way so that I don't get odd feelings. He entertains others while they are over, to great effect. He is always there for conversation and never gets overemotional or heated even in the most passionate of arguments. He always keeps a stiff upper beak when I leave him for long periods of time, and never reprimands me when I return, because he understands that sometimes I just need space, you know? He is everything I need him to be, and when times get tough, he makes a good pillow (to cry on and to lie on).

Girlfriend loves it, but it's too big and stiff to cuddleMay 14, 2011
By Renaissance I got this for my girlfriend as a playful gift (we had an argument about penguins). Basically, I was looking for the biggest plush penguin I could find for under $100. Well, this one is certainly big (a little under 3 feet tall) and well-built, but unfortunately it's simply not very cuddly. The stuffing is packed rather tightly in there, so it's not very soft, and it's just the wrong size (not small enough or large enough) for an adult to sleep with. Oh well, it would still be great for kids.
