I bought these for mountain biking and one of them always gives me a blister on the side of my knee. The sticking seem is on the inside which may look better but it doesn't help with comfort.
Having said that, the price was right and the do protect your knees well.

These do every thing you need a knee pad to do and they're not too spendy.
They stay put, they have nice cushion, and they are quite durable. Also not to too hot or bulky.

These pads fit like a charm. They're aren't too tight, to point of discomfort. Some of the only extra large ones I've seen on here, or anywhere else for that matter. If your big like me (6'3 200lbs) than these are your best bet.

I got these knee pads for skating, specifically roller derby. They replaced a flimsier pair of Triple 8 knee pads I bought as part of a set. I like how these are pull-on, sleeve style; I feel this provides more support for my knees. I have short, fat legs, and although the X-Large fit they have a tendency to slip around some as I'm skating. I suspect this is because I can't secure the velcro as tightly as I should. That being said, I've done a lot of drops in these knee pads and not had a bit of trouble.

These are nice for beginners in Roller Derby or even for more advanced players. One tip I can give is if its between these and a less expensive brand get these you wont regret it
