My sister got his cat at ToysRUs about 2 years ago for my 3rd daughter. This 'Cat" (it's actually named Cat) has been her constant companion since she first laid eyes on it in the store. This thing has been washed more times than I could ever count, dragged through the mud, kidnapped and tortured by her other sisters, but most importantly loved as much as the Velveteen rabit ever was in the story.
This thing still miracullously looks like a cat and has all it's parts except the bow. The nose is a bit chewed from her teething days and it's 'fur' has not been soft for years, in fact it looks a bit like a pilly washcloth, but structurally has held up super well.
We have spent hours searching for this thing at bed time because she HAD to have it, and was lost for an entire week once (oh to have a 3 year old in the house without her lovey, the horror! luckily we found it trapped behind her sister's dresser). She'll be 4 just before christmas and we're planning on getting another for her stocking either as a 'spare' or just as a sister to 'Cat'.
Oh, and we never did name a star. It wasn't bought for that, it was bought becuase she lached onto it in the store and even though I put it back, my sister couldn't take a baby's broken heart and bought it for her. I'm so glad she did. It even got to the point where my toddler would go get 'Cat' give me a kiss and put herself down for a nap at the proper time everyday.

This cute kitty is now my granddaughter's favorite toy. She takes it everywhere, dentist, shopping, sleeping, school time, whatever. Such a cute toy. Has been machine washed 30 times.

These toys are soft and adorable! On top of that you're giving them a real star! How cool is that? Half of my grandkids are now planning to be astronauts! They use the Nasa site to check on their stars and usually end up widening their search. The teens and preteens really enjoy the game site. In addition to all this a portion of the profits goes to children's charities. I have rarely been happier with a gift I've purchased.
