An absolutely BEAUTIFUL little dragonDec 30, 2011
By Takato14 I admit that I was skeptical in purchasing this dragon initially. The product's picture portrays the plush very poorly. In person, this dragon has the most life-like form and figure that I have ever seen. The dragon's figure has a very refined, feminine look to it. Her mane and stripe of fur down her back add to this femininity. Her fur is very soft to the touch, and every part of her looks like it was sculpted by a master. The exception to this, because there is always an exception, is that the dragon's head could be better. They used flat pieces of felt for her horns, which was unwise as they stick out in the wrong directions, the head is shaped weirdly, and her eyes are made in an unusual way. They're spheres with fabric cups around them. One thing this does that I have to admit looks cool, is it makes her eyes appear to follow you as you look at her from different angles. When you look down at the top of her face, she looks very cute. She stands on her own, and she has a wire frame in her tail, neck, and wings. Everything else is only fabric, which makes it surprising that she is able to stand on her own.
Ive only had her a couple months, but she has held up nicely. None of her hair has fallen out, which was a main concern of mine. The wire hasn't started to break, and I pose her a lot, so this is good. The felt is doing what felt always does, it gets less concisely shaped over time and starts to fall apart, but that happens with all felt, and I have dragons much older than her with felt on them that have yet to have worn out.
All-in-all this dragon is absolutely adorable. She is a great addition to anyone's dragon collection. The gender is of course up to the customer, but this dragon looks very much like a girl. If you want a male dragon, try the Wyvern from this (small) toy line instead.
