1Please do not purchase these training wheelsJul 11, 2008
By Aaron
We are long time Amazon shoppers and love it, but these are the worst training wheels I've ever bought. My 6 year old daughter fell over after 15 seconds of riding because the training wheels just buckled (bent). Enough said.

1Very JunkySep 07, 2007

These started to bend the first time we used them, and they aren't going to last long. I just hope my kid learns before the things become completely unuseable.

3Might need modificationApr 19, 2012
By C. S. "Christ follower"
My 6 year old son has Asperger's Syndrome making it difficult to learn activities that require coordination such as riding a bike. He has really struggled for a couple years so we decided to get these for his 20" bike. They seemed well enough made to withstand the use they would get but I had to modify them to get them onto the studs on the bike. They were alittle too beefy and there just wasn't enough threads left to put the nut on once they were in place. After shaving some of the excess material off with a grinder, they went on just fine. The problem then is that they were no longer strong enough to hold my sons weight. After about 15 minutes or so of riding, one of them bent. I will have to reinforce both in order to use them. I realize this isn't the fault of Schwinn but I wish they had been a little more "universal" to begin with. 3 stars for having to modify them.

1Worst ProductFeb 29, 2012
By Rich
This is the worst product I have ever bought. As soon as he set on the seat and his weight went to one side they bent. Got 0 use from these, they do not deserve even 1 star. More china junk that

a former reputable American Company is putting their name on to make a buck.

1DisappointedApr 28, 2011
By Jeff Norment
As with others the item received was not what was pictured. I was hoping to receive the wheels with the two different length black angle iron, sturdy leg-bike attachments that are pictured. What I received was much flimsier stanless steel. Our Schwinn childs bike came with the training wheels that is pictured on Amazon, so I was hoping to replace the orignals which my wife threw out once my boy graduated beyond training wheels. Our youngest is now using the bike and needs trainers. Already had an accident with substandard stainless supports, so we are not going there again. Apparently from the messages there are some who got the pictured product, but obviously there are quite a few others, like us, who did not.
