Beautiful when put togetherSep 08, 2009

It's very beautiful. There were several pieces of the puzzle that were stuck together that wouldn't come apart without damage, but not enough to stop me from purchasing again. We are putting it together now for the second time before I glue it to hang on the wall.

This is a wonderful,very pretty puzzle. I put it together for my sister and mailed it to her. It is very detailed and durable. I was a little worried about finding the outer edges but they all have a pink lineing and easy to spot. If you like shaped puzzles this is a great one.

I am a jigsaw veteran but this is the first shaped puzzle I have ever done. The shape is a unique challenge. All of the edge pieces have a solid pink border which makes them easier to distinguish and find. Even with all the edge pieces on the work table, I found it very difficult to assemble the frame. The image is actually a painting, so the details were not as clear as I expected and you must deal with "brushstrokes" which can go any which way (I usually work puzzles with lots of small detail but based on photographs). Colors are very similiar throughout. I found it difficult to distinguish the subtle tone differences under artificial light. I had to work this puzzle during day light hours with sunlight. Once it comes together the image is beautiful. Overall, I give this puzzle a 4 star rating. The quality of this puzzle prevents me from giving a full 5 star rating. There was a lot of "puzzle dust" in the box & bag, many pieces were still together when it came out of the box, and overall, the piece quality is poor. With patience during the layout (cleaning and separating) and extra care when working the puzzle, you should not have any major problems. Now I'm hooked on shaped puzzles! GENERAL PUZZLE TIP: Clear packing tape or contact paper works great on the back for saving your completed puzzles, no need for messy expensive glues and other gimmicks!

I had a really hard time matching the pieces because the colors and combinations could go in other places....took two weeks to do! But i have it done and glued and hanging on the wall. Very pretty with alot of pink.
