Adequate, but poor frame mount design.Jun 14, 2008
By Joe I wanteded two mini-pumps, so I purchased both the Mini-DXG as well as the Mini-G models. The DXG is a little shorter, with slightly improved frame mounting, but general performance is the same. Both have a built-in pressure gage that works, but I don't expect it to be very accurate. Both pump air during IN and OUT strokes, which was much more difficult than a floor pump, but I plan to use these for emergencies only. Both frame-mounts will position the pump next to the bottle cage, using the same screws for the bottle cage. This was OK except when I bike with casual long pants, my pant cuffs would catch on the pump lever if mounted on the left side, and if mounted on the right side, it's too close to the bike chain. This is not a big deal because I just carry these in my bike bag, but I would've liked it much more if it would've just velcro-mounted to my top bar.

Great Pump, Cheap Attachment!Aug 11, 2008

This pump has been there when I needed it, but that is more than I can say for the attachment piece that goes on the bike. This piece broke during the first week of use while simply riding my bike around town. Have a backup plan on where to place the pump just in case you experience the same.

Small and works wellMay 30, 2008

Nothing worse than a small pump that takes forever to use when on a trail.
The Mini DXG is the exception to the rule. I have had to use it twice and was pleasantly surprised how well it works with a 26inch mountain bike tire.
I cannot comment on the use with a road bike that requires a high pressure of 110lbs or more.

Compact, accurate.Nov 06, 2007
By Kevin A. Grant Nice and compact (smaller than the non-DX). The gauge is a nice feature. Not sure how long the little rubber strap will last, but I bet Topeak will replace it if it breaks.
