Well this has to be one of the best versions of Optimus out there but don't let the packaging and pictures fool you, read the fine print, this guy is small! Smaller than I would have liked but still very poseable and very cool, you can pose him anyway you like although the hands were a little hard to remove they do come off. The little matrix of leadership just tops him off!

5Transformers: Cybertron Commander Optimus Prime Convoy Revoltech Action FigureApr 19, 2010

I love having all the Revoltech Transformers figures and not having to pay an arm & a leg for each of them from Amazon! They are great figures & fun to put in all kinds of poses; especially for battle scenes to just pass the time when I'm bored. I know it sounds childish but to be in tune with my inner child for just a bit is fun, relaxing & gets the creative side of my brain going! I loved Transformers when I was a kid & i'm still a fan of the movies & animated series of the 80's & these figures have that same nostalgic feel! And as figures go, these ARE ALL AWESOME!!!

5is very snazzyOct 18, 2009

I like this figure. Lots. The colors and articulation are quite amazing. And the details are so perfect they snap--the colors are true-to-character, and the boldness of the colors add to the whole old-school element. This is most certainly Optimus Prime.

He comes with three additional hands that you can use for various poses, and they are a bit difficult to change--but I imagine over time it'll become easier. (It strikes me as one of those deals where when something starts off new it's more difficult to manipulate.) He also comes with the Matrix of Leadership, and a gun--which is particularly fun to pose him with.

Also, I've noticed that when you go to pose him, sometimes an arm will pop off--but you can just put it right back on. Also, he's very much free-standing in just about any postition--you just have to work with him a bit, to maintain some kind of balance.

That said, he is quite small. Figure when you think of Optimus Prime, you think of something big and grand. And, he is pricey for the size. But the deal is, I just wanted one, really nice figure of Optimus. And I most certainly wasn't disappointed.

And yeah, it would be snazzy if he were bigger--but at the same time, I don't feel as though it impacts the figure as much as you'd think. There's just so much personality to it, that you kind of forget about the size after a bit. What I mean is, he's so posable, that you can convey just about any kind of emotion--which is pretty amazing given the fact that he doesn't exactly have the most expressive face.

And so overall, I can understand why some people are disappointed with the size--but personally I feel as though the quality of the figure outranks the small-factor. And so I'd most certainly recommend it.

3Nice posable Optimus PrimeJul 30, 2008

This Optimus Prime model by Revoltech is pretty cool. It's made with special ball-like joints for creating dynamic poses and comes with some swappable accessories. The painting is poor and there are visible molding lines, but it's a fun cheap model to keep on your desk.
