Barricade has gone recon with a sweet new paint variation!This is a great all around Barricade transformer that really shows up the detail better.In this variation Barricade is in a security saleen police car mode with a silver paint job while having blue along the side with a sweet security/decepticon symbol on the doors.In robot mode Barricade has blue highlights in the legs,arms and head.This really shows up the articulation on the head piece.This is all around one of the better detailed Barricade's you will find.Barricade comes with his spring-loaded punch attack just like the original to take on any autobot up close.Barricade also comes with his trusted companion Frenzy which is a blue color in this version and still fits into the grill while ejecting from the chest in robot form.The poseability is outstanding with Barricade able to assume many poses for acting out battle scenes or displaying where you want.The durability is excellent as well with Barricade able to take on any challenge that comes around.Barricade is a solid transformer all around.The transformation level is advanced meaning if you have plenty of experience with transformers there is mid-level difficulty.If you are a parent buying for a child of 5-6 or younger you might have to help some in the process.Honestly with some practice and patience most ages should be able to get the hang of it.The process starts off with the sides of the car pulling out to later form the arms while the windshield section lifts upwards.The back part where the spoiler is seperates then rotates down to end up forming the legs and feet.The hood then seperates to each side.The next part is rotating the front part down to reveal Barricade's head and forming the chest.Bottom line Recon Barricade is a high quality,well-made,10 out of 10 transformer all fans and collectors should treasure.I highly recommend Recon Barricade to all transformer fans and collectors alike.Transformers Rule!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you have the normal or premium Barricade don't get this guy. He is a decent mold with a really nice car form and a pretty tough looking robot mode. However, his paint job is just blah. He is meant as a security officer's car and the gray on him mixed with a light blue just says "I have no character at all". He is just plain dull. go for the other versions of this guy because I am about to fall asleep just from reviewing him.......zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz..........

My grandson is a Transformers collector and just had to have this one. Amazon was the place to go when local stores did not carry it. The price was right, it arrived quickly and he is a happy camper.

Bought it for my 11 years old son, and he loved it. At first, with the instructions manual, he spent almost 30 minutes to completely figure it out, but says that's what makes it so appealing to him. Now he feels much more confident when presented to puzzle challenges. The transformation is amazing. Now he plays with regularly.

I bought this for my three year old son, & he seems to like it better as a car than as a "transformer". Which is good, because that means I don't have to stop everything to fix it for him every 10 minutes. I would probably recommend this for six or seven-year-old children if you want them to transform it themselves, it's rather difficult & has a lot of little pieces that have to be in exactly the right position to get it folded back into a car. The wheels roll & nothing has fallen off of it yet, so I would say it's a pretty durable toy.
