 An impressive looking White House model!Aug 26, 2009

This 3D Paper Model of The White House is actually pretty well made and has excellent detail. Just take a look at my photos here of the model and you will know what I mean. Handle it with care, and you will have lots of fun fixing it up. Keep in mind that its made of a thick paper like cardboard, so they can tear if too much force is used. I've had no problems with mine. I completed the model in an hour or so. Its pretty straightforward, the tricky parts to fix on the model that slowed me down and would probably slow others down is the north and south portico of The White House. The rest however is actually simple. Once its all fixed, it will look great as a display piece and will definitely have friends or relatives coming over admiring it. Yes its made of paper, but it is very stable and looks really impressive! The only part to take care of once its completed is the USA flag on the roof. As it is protruding out, it might get knocked into and it can either bend or even tear. So, do take note of the flag on the roof. Overall, this is an impressive looking model meant not only for kids, but for adults as well! An excellent display piece!

My son asked for a model of the White House. Mind you he is 8 and I did not want to purchase the 560 piece model of the White House because if you should loose one piece, it's done. This is a durable, hard cardboard like, model that will last a long time. I know he is going to love it when he opens it Christmas morning !

My daughter bought this for a project and she's 11. She's the one who assembled it with very little adult help. She found it frustrating to use and nearly threw it across the room. The parts don't lock into place very well and the parts should be labeled on the piece rather than on the template. Although it is a paper model, it didn't seem worth $30 (includes shipping) for its value. By the time it was finished, it was held together by glue and tape. It looks nice from afar but don't look at the details up close.
